Pitcher needs mound time

by Stephanie
(Dlorida)

Hi my daughter is a pitcher on a decent team that has four other pitchers. So as you can guess her pitching time is limited. She is 12 going on 13 and has only been pitching for about 10 months. She has been asked to join a team that she would be the 2nd pitcher. The team is not the best but she would get a lot of mound time. She also plays center field but that is something she has played for awhile so can hold her own. Thought?

Team Selection

What does your daughter want to do? Is she happy where she is? Does she like the players on the other team? That is the real question to be answered. Players should play because they enjoy playing and who they are playing with. Not knowing the situation, it is hard for me to recommend one team over the other. It is a decision for your daughter to make and one that you would have considerable input into. I am not trying to be evasive, and wish you luck with this decision. Do not change simply for "mound time". She has only pitched for ten months. Who knows if she will want to continue pitching ten months from now?

Good luck!
