Screwball Technique

I agree with your description above on how to throw a good screwball. I usually tell my pitchers to "open the door" because when releasing the ball, it's the same motion one would use to twist a doorknob open. It gives them a good comparison to something they're already familiar doing.

Thank you for the screwball pitching tip. Great idea on the door knob concept. It should really help the pitcher visualize what you are trying to teach with the screwball motion.
