U10 Fastpitch

by Tim

I believe coaches should focus on each player differently. Get to know the the player and treat them as your daughter, with lots of love.
Most players are not going to become the next Jennie Finch the softball player, but with a solid relationship, player can become Jennie Finch the strong leader and just great person.

Attempt to teach:

How to deal with good and bad emotions
Building relationships and respecting others
Setting and achieving goals
It is not all about you!

Love of game

Great Points!
by: Dan

Tim,

You make great points here. It should be all about instilling a love of the game, learning and understanding each of your players, and having them understand that they are part of a team.

U10 is a great age. So much to teach. So much enthusiasm. And so much ahead of them. Best of luck with your team!

Dan
