this drill is great to get coordination in tune with the players. Especially the third and first baseman. The coach stands about 10 ft away from the players. The players line up along a fence and one person goes at a time. The coach then hits a variety of balls to them; short hops, line drives, ground ball, and little bloopers. It is also a great way to make it a game for the players to learn competition. there is 1 practice round where every player gets three balls. then when the person that started the drill is back up, it becomes a competition. they each get three balls, if they miss one ball then they are out. if the player advances then they continue to play. this drill is a very great way for players to find out what they are actually capable of doing.
